Emerson

Emerson 555 in box.jpg (53180 bytes) Emerson 555 MIB
1959

In the original presentation box along with operating instructions, inspector's tag, simulated leather carrying case with shoulder strap, and earphone in its original hard plastic case. Appears it was never used. The interior of the radio is clean, with no evidence of battery corrosion or leakage. Turquoise color, in mint condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. Four-transistors. Made in the USA. Has CD markings.

American made Emerson 888 Explorer. Gray. Must see to believe mint condition. Almost like new. Plays well. Leather case is also in great shape with a handy metal clasp in the rear. Has some of the nicest-looking little CD markings I've ever seen. For collectors of American or Emerson radios it doesn't get much better than this.

Emerson 838 Hybrid

Two-transistor, three-tube hybrid. Outstanding!!! Early American made red Emerson transistor/tube pocket radio, red and silver reverse painted front with original leather case. An important example of the evolution from tube to transistor pocket radios.

Groovy green-and-gold coat pocket radio with CD markings, great sound, and a tilt stand/handle. Makes me want to go to the beach every time I see it. Made in the USA.

Kinda reminds you of a Nash Rambler, huh? I wonder if that's what Emerson had in mind when they named it? This boxy, but gorgeous white, coat-pocket set with a big tuning dial and understated gold under painting. Other available colors include green, ebony, red, and turquoise. Cool.

Very rare, early six-transistor Emerson. It is hand-wired on a metal chassis, complete with transistor sockets. Pretty gray case with gold trim all in top condition.
