Airline (Wards) 1215A Compact
1962
This hard-to-find radio looks like a lady's compact when closed. Satin
cover, black back. |
 |
Bulova Micro 870
1963
This ultra-small, collectable 870 Series Pocket 6 Transistor radio was
made by the Bulova Watch Co. Has the civil
defense markings on the dial. |
 |
Bulova 760
1956
Here's a pretty little leather radio. Coat pocket sized, it has lots
of gold, and under painting. |
 |
Bulova 672
1962
I think this is one of the prettiest miniature pocket radios ever
made. "Vegas showgirl" face, right down to the little gemstone
at the center of the starburst. Six-transistors, made in Japan. Has CD
markings. |

Candle Black with Box
1963
You will think you are standing on the Tokyo Transistor Industry Company's
manufacturing floor when you hold this pristine, eight-transistor, black
Candle PTR-85C. Very nice gold display/gift box with cloth liner and even
the little black, stick-on 'color' label. Original Candle battery. There's
an earphone--still wrapped tight in it's original plastic bag, and stuffed
in a perfect leather pouch that matches the radio's perfect leather carry case.
Cool! |

Candle Has it All (Except a Model Number)
1962
Made by Toshiba, this orange eight-transistor radio is flawless, and
comes with its box, papers, instructions and earphone. Sweet.

Candle PTR-85C White with Box
1963
Incredible Japanese eight-transistor radio, as close to mint as you can
find. Doesn't appear to have been used. Original down to the batteries!
Picture does not come close to doing this radio justice. Cream colored
with a gold metal mesh grill. About 4&1/4' X 2&3/4' X 1&1/4'.
There are no scratches & not so much as a tiny ding on the grill.
Original leather case Gold/Red box. Plays beautifully! Has CD markings. |

Captain in the Case
19??
Absolutely perfect, and like new. The metal front is much better than the
photo, and is also bright and shiny. The case is leather, and in like-new
condition. The six-transistor radio plays perfectly. Six transistors. Has
CD markings. Made in Japan.

Captain Naked
Another look at the Captain, this time sans case. This is one of those
radios that is so ugly it is pretty--right down to the cheesy Phillips head screw on the face.
