"Got the video yesterday. Really great. I wish I had this a year ago."

       Paul Zsebehazy

“I wish had this two years ago when I started collecting radios. You kept it interesting and it was a lot more professional than I anticipated. It definitely was not just a couple of guys with some knowledge of radios slapping together a video.  I definitely got my money’s worth.  I would really like to see another tape or book on small tube portables of the 40s and 50s.

I just wanted to take a moment and compliment you on the production quality and content included in your Pocket Radio video.  It is by far the best material I have encountered in the field of radio restoration and should serve well many collectors and would-be "Radio Docs." I've been pursuing radio repair as an art form for many years and became heavily involved in restoration of vintage tube sets about ten years ago. Having spent many hours assisting newbies, it is gratifying to see that there is such an excellent source that I may confidently use as a reference source for those who seek my help with transistor sets.  Actually, much of your material in the last half of the tape will "cross over" and be of great service to those wanting to repair radios of all types. Congratulations on a job well done, indeed!

 Bob Mantz, A/K/A RadioDoc

It's excellent! Nice job you guys!  There were some really helpful tricks that I learned from it. Well, it also inspired me to rip apart my newest acquisition, an ivory Regency TR-1. It only took about two hours to do -- bad on-off switch, three bad electrolytics (I replaced all 4), and a pile of foil PC board problems. Works fine now -- the first time I've ever heard a TR-1 "play". Thanks again for a fine video, and the inspiration to dig into my radio.

I congratulate you for the excellent work. The music is a very "time transporting" touch--so good, I felt immediate nostalgia.   Your work is awesome.

            Guillermo Rivero, collector

It was much more "professional" than I expected. (The music is a nice touch.) As an old, compulsive radio and TV fixer, I thought I knew all the tricks. However your tape taught me a few new ones.

“Your RESTORING POCKET RADIOS video is informative and the instructions are easy to follow.  I now know how to clean, test, and repair transistor radios!    I especially enjoyed the introduction of the fabulous T-Bird, and 888 “Pioneer” vertical, 1958 radio.  The first thing I did was pause on the close up, to get a good look at it! It is great  to have the expert knowledge in this video, and ability to view the radios used in the demonstrations.”
